"Oh my god! Wow! This is absolutely extraordinary! We sat down on Valentine's Day and watched it on repeat.

The video is just so beautiful, fun and joyful. We are so grateful for your incredible vision and for capturing the weekend so spectacularly.

The extra mile you went to capturing some footage of our friends and family enjoying the lake on Friday means the world to us. It is not missed on us that you dealt with the rain and managing your own family throughout that afternoon.

Thankyou for all your efforts. This will be something we will treasure for the rest of our lives.

You're the best!"

Some weddings feel like a single day. Others feel like an entire experience.

Lis & Ben’s wedding was exactly that, a weekend filled with adventure, creativity, connection and so many moments that felt completely and uniquely them.

Set amongst the beauty of Linga Longa, they created a celebration that wasn’t just about the wedding day itself, but about slowing down, spending quality time with the people they love and creating memories together along the way.

As a filmmaker this wedding was an absolute creative delight and it was truely an honour to be a part of it all.

More Than Just a Wedding Day

One of my favourite things about weddings is when couples don’t just plan an event, they create an experience.

Before Lis & Ben even said “I do”, the celebrations had already begun. Their friends and family gathered at Linga Longa for a weekend of glamping, relaxing and making memories together.

The day before the wedding was everything a weekend celebration should be. Swimming in the lake, jumping from the inflatable trampoline, relaxing with friends and family, playing board games, volleyball in the rain and simply enjoying being together.

They even spent time creating their own designer glasses for the wedding, using all sorts of materials and letting everyone bring their creativity to life. It was such a perfect reflection of who Lis & Ben are, playful, imaginative and never afraid to do things their own way.

Moments I Loved Capturing

It is honestly hard to choose what I loved most about Lis & Ben’s wedding because every part of the weekend felt special.

Their ceremony at the Forest Cathedral was one of those moments where you almost couldn’t believe the setting was real. Surrounded by towering trees and the beauty of nature, it felt incredibly peaceful and almost otherworldly. But what made the ceremony even more unforgettable were their vows.

While editing their film, there were so many moments where everything came full circle. Hearing their words, then pairing them with the moments that unfolded throughout the weekend, reminded me exactly why wedding films are so powerful. They allow couples to relive not just what happened, but what it felt like.

A Wedding Built Through Creativity

One of the things I loved most about Lis & Ben’s day was how much of themselves they poured into every detail.

Lis created all of the floral arrangements herself, adding such a personal touch to the celebration. She also designed and made her own after-party dress , another beautiful example of the thought, creativity and love that went into every part of their wedding.

Nothing felt copied or expected. Every detail felt like an extension of who they are.

The Party

And then came the dance floor. Possibly one of the most fun dance floors I have ever captured.

With an incredible five-piece brass band bringing the energy, guests dressed up in an array of costumes, their handmade glasses making another appearance and everyone dancing like nobody was watching, it was the perfect ending to a weekend that had been filled with so much joy. This was exactly what Lis & Ben wanted, a celebration where everyone felt free to be themselves, where the focus was on connection, laughter and creating memories together.

Lis & Ben reminded me why I love filming weddings. The best celebrations aren’t always about following traditions or creating something perfect. They’re about creating something that feels like you.

And this weekend was unmistakably Lis & Ben.
