"OMG! Haaaaaayley, we are totally speechless. Its honestly incredible, can't believe it. Kage is very teary right now.
Honestly, there is no amount big enough to thank you for everything you did on the big day (and surrounding days!) as well as just being a joyous addition to our family and friends."
Alfie & Katharine’s Destination Wedding in Florence, Tuscany
Alfie & Katharine’s story began in March 2020, during a time when the world was slowing down. They matched on a dating app, a true product of the times, just before lockdowns began. Despite the distance, their connection grew stronger through virtual chats, and they didn’t meet in person until a year later, in August 2021. It may have been a delayed start, but when they finally met, it felt as though the universe had been quietly guiding them toward each other.
A Love Story Spanning London, New York & Italy
Alfie’s move to New York the following year added a new layer to their relationship. The distance wasn’t easy, but with Katherine’s work trips to the city, their bond remained strong. It wasn’t long before Alfie realized he didn’t want to be apart from Katharine anymore. He moved back to London, and from that moment, their life together truly began.
Alfie & Katharine’s love story is built on faith, connection, and moments that feel just right. Before proposing, Alfie embraced Katherine’s Catholic family traditions and was baptized, showing the depth of his commitment. Then, in September 2024, Alfie whisked Katharine away to the Amalfi Coast, where he proposed in the breathtaking beauty of Italy, just the two of them, in a moment that felt as timeless as their love.
A Timeless Wedding in Florence
For their wedding, Alfie & Katharine wanted something that felt as personal and joyful as their journey together. They chose Villa di Maiano in Tuscany for their reception, a place that mirrored the romance and timeless elegance they both adore. Their ceremony, held at the Chiesa di San Salvatore di Ognissanti in Florence, would mark the beginning of their next chapter.
The combination of Florence’s Renaissance charm and Tuscany’s rolling hills created the perfect backdrop for their love story. For couples planning a destination wedding in Florence or Tuscany, this pairing of tradition and elegance is truly unforgettable.
Unique Moments at Villa di Maiano
The wedding was filled with unique moments that they would always remember. From the excitement of driving off in a sports car to the champagne pop and the special cake-cutting ceremony where the chef dusted the Millefoglie, every detail was a reflection of their personalities and their love. But for Alfie & Katharine, it was the candid, real moments they were most excited about: the smiles, the glances, the laughter shared between them.
For this couple, their wedding day wasn’t about perfection. It was about celebrating the love that had brought them here, in all its real, raw, beautiful glory. It’s a love that, as they say, "just works," and their wedding day was the perfect way to honour it.
